Honestly not going to find this in any new construction or anything built in the last decade, if not further back. Try to find a top floor and corner unit. In a mid-rise building on this budget point. Eliminates a good chunk of the issue. And exterior facing unit if possible.
Yeah that’s what I figured, it’s so bad for my mental health I feel like I’m going crazy because I can never enjoy silence. Unfortunately no where close to buying a home yet!
Hi! I live at 3700M in west village/uptown, and I have been soooo pleasantly surprised how quiet it is. I’ve never heard my neighbors, and I’ve been here for 9 months. They did just add an amenity fee so that may push it over your budget depending on what you’re looking for but I’ve really enjoyed living here and will likely resign.
I live just right across the street in west village, but can hear neighbors both next to me and beneath me with loud sound bars. Appreciate the help, I will look into it, thanks!
There’s some industrial loft apartments in Downtown, brick/concrete walls
I lived in the renaissance, a large condo complex on cedar springs and turtle creek, is a quiet well built building that’s an enormous complex so usually has some units for rent from owners. Residents are on the older side. Not sure what rents look like now, I think I was at $1,800 about 5 years ago for a one bedroom.
Hm, I’m a pilot and love to travel so they planes don’t bother me so much. Was on the 18th floor, so, not a lot of street noise that I recall. During Covid I set up a desk on the deck and worked out there until it was too hot. You will see them on final landing but didn’t seem loud. Cedar springs is not that busy. I enjoyed living there. The pool is fun in summer, chat with people and you might get offered a beer or drink. I’d live there again.
Rent a house in a quiet neighborhood.
Definitely an option. Any suggestions for safe and quiet neighborhoods?
I'm literally in the exact same boat. Super sensitive to noise and I need to move quickly.OP, did you find an apartment in DFW with concrete walls?
