Further are these salaries even sustainable. Revenue of companies hasn't kept pace with compensation increase in india and it's a bubble which is soon going to burst. Earlier this year I was making $75k as an FA and now $90k as an SFA in OC which is pretty much market value (4yrs exp - 2 in B4). I wanted that raise to $90k for a while and now that I have it, I catch myself thinking about wanting more & more money, even though I have more than enough to live out my means. Any tips for how to better implement feedback on drafts? My work is so heavily redlined that I struggle to consistently follow through with every comment/feedback. I am in patent prosecution, so it is a lot of detailed technical writing, but is also fairly formulaic, which is nice. I’ve been having a bit of trouble working with one partner at a new firm. There are definitely things I can/need to work on for improvement, but I’ve been practicing for four years and have had no trouble with other partners/peers before. Midlaw M&A/Corporate 6th year in LCOL city. Have potential opportunity to go in house for public fintech co. doing substantially similar work. Comp similar to what I make now, but vague on upside. Any corp associates looking to move from biglaw to a boutique? My firm remains busy and is looking to bring on a couple associates. We’re all either hybrid or fully remote, and that’s here to stay. 1500 billables and we’re serious about it. Work is primarily ECVC, Outside GC, M&A. Pay is roughly 30% biglaw haircut, with incentive bonuses for hours and originations.

Are all you associates getting crushed right now? I haven’t had a breather in months. No amount of bonus seems worth it right now

What does it mean if there’s a NEP at the firm who’s been there for a long time (20+ years), but never got promoted to EP? Never held leadership roles too. Does it usually mean EPs does not like the NEP enough to get promoted?
