Does anyone have tips for surviving a terrible boss? I’m super depressed and doing my best but my boss basically hates everything I do. This is despite me having a fruitful 25-year career before this job. Even when her criticisms are correct, she doesn’t give particularly helpful direction. I feel ill whenever I see a message come in from her. I’m also in therapy and actively seeking a new job but the market is terrible. I would probably quit if I didn’t have two young kids depending on me. Ugh!

What is the salary band for Manager level in KGS Deal Advisory?

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before? I love working in healthcare, there’s nothing like it.

My last therapist keeps coming up in my mind. I left her when I moved to a new area before COVID dug in and frankly it felt like leaving a girlfriend. She also disclosed in the final session that she was a member of AA and knew several of the people I occasionally discussed from the rooms. Her knowledge of the program certainly built trust with me early on, but it has been two years. I discussed it with my current therapist but she’s still in there. Any advice?

How do you deal with ADD and being able to clearly explain your ideas? Are meds the answer? Really don’t want to do that. Already in therapy. Plz help.

I’ve become negative about my life and can only think how I’ve been wronged, how I’m stuck, and frustrations w/ various circumstances in my life. They all feel connected in a cycle I can’t escape bc it’s all cause and effect ending up back where it started. I can’t find where to break the toxic cycle of negative in my life or how to make those circumstances better. I feel my life has backed me into a corner. I’m aware I’m playing victim and not taking charge of my life. Advice on breaking free?
