I could have written this exact same post. I’m off on PTO for this exact reason. An article that should have taken 3 days for me to finish, after 3 weeks was still only 75% done. This was my third deliverable in a row like this. I had a meltdown last Tuesday and booked the rest of last week and this week for PTO.

Im in between therapists and have been feeling very stable since I went back on antidepressants in April. Just not sure who to talk to since I can’t put my finger on what’s going on. Just feel crazy.

Maybe it’s the realization that we only have a month more of summer with August approaching

My wife and I are starting a first cycle of IVF. Given how expensive IVF is/can be, wondering if anyone has lessons learned on the insurance front—understanding it varies by plan, of course. Just completed my last shift in the ICU. I'm glad to be shifting back to the Maternatity ward. It was exhausting, and emotionally draining working with such sick patients. I know the work we did made a big difference, but I'm glad to go back to my favorite role!

Does anyone feel like they don’t want to go back to normal? On the one hand, absolutely I want to. I miss seeing friends, dressing up, going out, and traveling for work. On the other hand I have saved so much money over the past year, spent a lot more time with family than I would have ever been able to, and actually rested and been able to focus on my wellness (started therapy and treatment for a chronic condition.)

Hi Everyone, Started my career in government 5 years ago working in an operational role, then focussed on HR for 3 years working my way up to a middle manager role in HR as a business partner and completed my Level 7 CIPD. I don’t think HR or government is for me anymore and looking to find something new, now 24 feel I have a lot of transferable skills and knowledge but worried about private companies in other professions taking me seriously. I’ve doing this for a good number of years. I think I depleted almost completely my interest in this business. When I’m out of the office or during the weekends I get into a “leave me alone state” and don’t want to know anything about the office. I actually just want to get in the agency, do the best I can within the time I have available, and get out. In a business where “the most committed wins” this is not an ideal mindset, but I’m done.
