Does anyone here work at Slalom Consulting Irvine or LA? I'm interested in exploring the human capital practice.

I didn't work there but I interviewed there last year. They seem to have a very much in-person culture, but everyone I spoke with was really down-to-earth.

The team is also incredibly small from what I remember, so you're likely to not get many responses.

Slalom has a local model which means you may not work on Human Capital projects, you are expected to stay staffed, and usually they expect you to take whatever is available. I didn’t work on many Human Capital projects while I was there. If that’s okay with you I’d say go for it. I didn’t love the culture either (LA). They play favorites and leadership picks who they want to recognize, it’s never based on your work. It reminded me of high school TBH.

Yep. Feel free. Happy to provide my perspective.

Hi. I’m in need of advice and encouragement. I’m currently working as a public defender(2nd year) but I would love to pursue a solo private practice. I would like to leave the public defender because I am ready to make more money and I am no longer feeling the fulfillment I once felt. I have a family and work-life balance is a priority. What is a good way to gain experience in other areas of law as a solo practitioner? What areas of law are best for maintaining a work-life balance?

Has anyone found a way to automate salary certifications?

We get about 3-5 requests daily to fill out salary certifications for our employees in EMEA.

At the moment, we have to do all of them manually. We open a pdf, then open their employee file and plug away. It's tedious and time-consuming, but the banks I found won't accept an internal salary certification for some reason. They're adamant about using their form. Has anyone come across this?
