OP - ask EY3 about their groups utilization. 🔥
Yea we do. We used to have various fractured practices focusing on specific areas of strategy. It was recently consolidated. Right now they're just trying to get it off of the ground and get traction. I know a guy in it so this is all confirmed info
Strategy group has been around for a few years, recently merged with customer group. Yes, we do compete and work on the same projects as MBB/Deloitte S&O/S& etc. Parthenon deals primarily with M&A, due diligence, market assessment while the strategy group is more oriented towards growth, digital, op model. That being said, we have started to work together often on projects.
SOMEBODY GET SOME ALOE ON THIS BURN STAT
Apologies EY6, was referring to Americas advisory. Aka the benchwarmers.
I'm part of the strat group and can confirm what @EY3 said. That being said right now in FS at least it was just formed officially during the last FY so there are / will continue to be growing pains as they better figure out how to go to market. Honestly if you're looking to transfer I'd wait a while until they figure out how to optimize our internal operations / go to market
We've had a strategy group since around 2010. And yes it's a small group but effective and partners across many of our practices.
Yeah and advisory has been around since 2005. When are you going to stop using the 'we are new and building excuse' for the overall poor performance of the group? 2020? 2030?
@EY5, easy there buddy I'm not trying to use any excuses. I'm just stating facts. FSO Advisory may have had one tiny Strategy group since 2010, but in the last year they combined a number or PI practices and ITAS practices to form the new Strategy, Growth and Transformation group (~300ppl). To my knowledge Americas Advisory has had a strategy group for a longer period of time so I can't won't try to speak to them.
OP, I'm in National Advisory Strategy & Customer. US331. If you're interested in talking about it, feel free to email hjjek@slipry.net. There is a lot of conjecture on this thread.
Why can't we all just get along?
Serious question - EY has a strategy group?
They do now!
We call it that but not the kind of work MBB and Accenture Strategy do. EY-Parthenon probably does really strategy work.
Does Parthenon hire/transfer from EY? Their page have only undergrad/MBA careers... Nothing for experienced hires.
Thank you for the response! Is it possible to connect through here or Skype to chat about the work you are doing, group structure and so on?
I'm mainly interested in knowing what pay differences are?
^^^^^😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks for clarifying. Good luck with building the practice. Should be fun.
FSO is where it's at
