Accounting advisory big4 or IA at F100. Both senior roles. Roughly same base pay.

Big4 has clear trajectory and interesting work.

F100 has 14% bonus, perm remote, and immediate vesting 401k over 7%.

Recently got an offer for salesforce sales strategy (105K TC) vs Morgan Stanley IB Strategy (135K TC). Salesforce will be 40-50 hours a week remote until 2022 and then will have a hybrid working model, most likely going in office 2-3 times a week vs Morgan Stanley will be on average 60 hours a week in office full time. Is it worth the 30K extra in compensation to commute to office daily + 10-20 more hours per week? In terms of pay progression, I think Morgan Stanley will definitely be a lot fast

Strategy Consultant, recently promoted to Manager with a focus in tech and life science. What level roles and financial packages would be reasonable for an exit into tech/health tech/digital health? Mostly interested in product strategy or growth strategy roles in SF, Seattle or Boston. Anyone have experience with this?

Here is my idea for a startup! I collect all the data from career transitions and use Data Analytics to predict the most likely career transitions. I could start with consulting. What do you guys think about this? I would be able to predict based on your firm(mbb, big4), your experience, which role you are likely to move (Faang pm, strategy manager, move to mbb). I have all the data to do this, but wanted your thoughts. Would the output of this be relevant to you?

I was just talking to a younger friend who goes to Cal and It seems like the kids these days hate FAANG or at least Amazon and Facebook are not desired at all. I personally don’t see too many issues working at either Amazon or Facebook because I work at Deloitte where I’m sure we have many questionable clients and worked in financial services before. Had the interview 2 weeks ago, the recruiter called today and gave me positive feedback, but said they need to complete the process with other candidates before making the decision. No rejection yet, but not a good sign of getting the offer?

Not my ideal exit but I accepted an offer at another Big4 for a 26 percent hike in base.
Ideally I’d exit to industry in Product/Program manager role but I really needed out and this came up so I took it. And Im on H1B so I cant keep interviewing/accept a better offer if it comes up, once the transfer is initiated.
I can’t decide if Im happy or sad. I’m relieved for now.
