Does anyone know if Bain & Company "Expert Manager" class of roles are actually management roles? I'm looking at applying to soem of rhe consulting firms for data science/ML roles, but I noticed that while McKinsey, BCG, Accenture, Deloitte have job titles that match my industry searches, Bain only has things like "Expert Manager, Machine Learning" the qualifications section seems to look for experience managing engineering teams, but everyone tells me those are made up anyways.

I am a recent graduate with a master’s in geropsychology in Central Florida. This being a new start for me and not really knowing anyone in this field. Is there anyone that could give some advice on how to meet like individuals that could help me get started with my new career? Thank you

4th year financial services associate - have an offer for a 9-5 knowledge management role at a competing firm for 94% of my current base salary. Enjoy my current role but am getting burnt out with the hours - has anyone made a similar jump? I’m worried that the km role would be less recession proof than current position.

How can I sell my 2 years of clerkship as valuable experience for corporate work? I would like to get credit for at least one year (at least in salary, if I can’t in seniority). I know for litigation they are more clearly valued and linked to that type of work, but I have reconsidered my interests and now am thinking of going into corp. However, I don’t want to feel like I wasted 2 years clerking (which I don’t feel like that, but I have to convince an employer of that too). Any help or insight?

Has anyone gone from a complex litigation practice like Construction and/or Government Contracts to a more general civil lit practice (PI, family, etc.)? I'm highly debating making the switch as I feel like these massive complex construction cases aren't really getting me enough solid litigation experience. I rarely, if ever, see the inside of a courthouse, and am generally just bored. If anyone has made the switch I'd love to hear your thoughts.

FDD/TAS Senior > Restructuring (Rx) analyst or associate (FAS/Banking) - Has anyone seen it done before? Would starting from Valuation instead of FDD be a better stepping stone to Rx banking. Also, I would imagine the best Rx banking exit would be to HL. Is FTI Rx (FAS) considered better than EY-P Restructuring consulting? How about compared to AM Rx (FAS). Thanks for any input!
