Does anyone know much about the Siegfried group? Had not heard too much about them and was wondering if anyone had good or bad experiences.

The Siegfried Group is a temp agency that acts like a cult internally and pretends to be a financial services firm.

likefunnyuplifting

Do a quick search and you’ll easily find the answer.

I work for Siegfried and overall it’s been a positive experience. I’m making more $ than I ever imagined and the work has been challenging/interesting. It’s not for everyone though - if you are looking for a 9-5 I would look elsewhere.

What are the hours generally?

Run the other way. Money is not actually significantly higher if you don’t work a ton of hours (additional money paid for overtime on a quarterly basis). There is no actual merit in the titles - people join the firm usually at whatever title they ask for ‘associate manager’ ‘manager’

I left but when I joined I accidentally didn’t ask to be an associate manager and found myself as a senior associate on jobs doing the exact same work as someone titled a ‘manager’ or ‘senior manager’.

You have to pretend that you’re actively recruiting your friends/ex colleagues and fill out a tracker showing that you’re doing exactly that. I believe the tracker is due quarterly. You also have to attend Saturday meetings that last all day long two times a year.

You get client work that no one else wants to do and it’s usually something monotonous/tedious. No real responsibility is usually assigned since you’re a temp. I had to leave bc some of the work was so easy I felt my intelligence leaving me and felt it wasn’t value add to my career.

Try Embark. They’re like them but with a much better culture.

likehelpful

Embark's compensation structure is whack though

Agreed with the above. If your looking to make more money than you can imagine i’d join. If you want a 9-5, stay away.

Hahaha thank you all. I am new to fishbowl, but I see what everyone is talking about. I appreciate it!

I know a few people that work there. They’re making good money but it’s a very “bro” culture and their CEO is hardcore conservative (apparently he invited Candace Owens and two other ultra-right commentators for a speaking gig). Just FYI.

LOVE CANDACE OWENS♥️♥️❤️

I just started at Siegfried and I love it so far. The firm supports anyone interested in growing personally and professionally. Also the opportunities are endless considering their increasing growth and the idea that other positions inside the firm are filled with people who already work for them. Im assuming the people that are anti siegfried are people who aren’t open minded individuals and might not have the intangible communication skills that the firm looks for. I’d be happy to share more if you’re interested

Oh we have tangible communication skills in addition to thinking skills that cause us to be disinterested. Why would you ever want to work for a firm that has no merit? I’ve heard people interviewing as seniors saying they want to be a manager upon joining and get it - that makes no sense. You pick your own title? Also I’ve been on clients where I am doing the same exact work as a “senior manager”. The highest level there is director and after that you can become a sales person? It makes NO SENSE.
