SAP is the most used ERP systems in several Manufacturing, Logistics companies. And more and more companies are transforming their systems to SAP. So, it’s not a surprise to see SAP as a requirement for supply chain roles. SAP certification is something that can be obtained with experience with that system, rather than being a newbee with the system!
Yeah it sucks..although in one of my previous interviews, I explained that I have the experience using other ERP, MRP systems and am good with the concepts and logics behind the systems, and that I’ll be able to learn their system sooner (as honestly it’s just differences in UX and terminologies and not hugely more than that) and I got through that interview successfully.
So it’s still worth applying we never know sometimes industries are considerate with candidates with other ERP experiences.
Its the most widely used system across manufacturing. You could look at taking any of the following certifications: SAP Certified Application Associate - Supply Chain Planning and Execution, SAP Certified Application Associate - Procurement, or SAP Certified Application Associate - Sales and Distribution. In addition to certifications, there are also online courses and training programs available that can help your relative build their skills and knowledge of SAP. It will definitely help you.
