I bought one not too long ago, left it in the office. I prefer a big one that doesn’t get lost in the shuffle. Let me find the name.
Rising Star
Great, thank you for the suggestion!
For home organization, everything needs a home. I have a little table with a box on it by the front door for mail, keys, sunglasses. There is an over-the-door hanger for jackets, coats and scarves. All my nail polishes are on the same shelf. I hung hooks for oven mitts right next to the oven. I got a shelf to organize my dishes by type and to make it easier to get them without having to lift the ones on top. All hangers facing the same way and my closet is organized by season, that way, I know where to go for clothes, depending on the weather. I have smaller boxes that I placed on my bookshelf to hold smaller items, and I keep similar ones together, like notebooks, pens and pencils. Towels and linens are stored together. If everything has a home and things are grouped together by type, it’s a lot easier to stay organized.
Two recommendations that I’ve had multiple male friends and bosses use:
1. Home organization - what LB1 describes above is right, but more succinct: “group like things with like things, in one place.”
2. Introduce him to the PoIC and GTD organization methods... based on index cards and utilizes moleskins (or a simple notebook). LifeHacker might be an old website but it’s an absolute treasure trove for details on this and other life organization that might appeal to him.

I use a day planner - day planner brand. He’s probably best off going into a staples or something like that and trying to figure out what would work best for his needs.
Passion Planners. They’re amazing!
There will be a section for handheld planners at any decent bookstore. I've used one every day for the past 15 years. They are cheap and great. I like the weekly breakdown ones and they aren't hard to find.
