I have a very high tolerance for caffeine. Try other sources maybe, like Redbull or Yerba Matte tea...

Fun fact: the reason so many people say "I can't function until I've had my morning coffee" has nothing to do with caffeine's stimulant properties (which are kind of modest) and everything to do with satisfying your body's craving. You're addicted, and that first cup is soothing your body's withdrawal symptoms from overnight deprivation.

Yay for fun facts about the difference between tolerance and dependence!

Yup^ if you drink caffeine every day it's just getting you to normal, not adding anything to really wake you up. Do a detox week and then never have caffeine more than 2 days in a row and you will feel it a lot more.

Same here.

Don't usually take caffeine. When I really need something to wake me up, I take redbull and it jolts me awake. Super efficient.

Doesn't constant red bull I take affect your liver?

It rarely happens. Happened once in the past 6 months.

I need 10-12 shots of espresso before I start feeling the effects, only on number 5 right now...

Yah bro you need to stop drinking coffee for like a month

Nah 4 ounces of coffee has me wide eyed and bushy tailed. 😳 8 ounces and I can't sleep until tomorrow.

Currently scheduling “on sites” for a S&O role in CA. My referrer said they can hire as L5 or L6. Would like to land in the L6 bucket as I’ve heard 5 --> 6 is one of the more challenging promotions.

I’m looking for info on what the real difference is in responsibilities (manager vs IC, cross functional vs focused, etc) so I can focus on checking the L6 boxes during my interviews.

I’m also curious about whether this is something that I should just discuss with my recruiter directly?

I am writing this message besides the staff group of EY GDS. Specifically Staff -1 at assurance level. I would request everyone to spare few minutes and read it -

Wanted to bring out that staff-1's are paid peanuts (3.33L CTC) please don't expect them to slog 12-13 hours. They don't have enough motivation or incentives to work that long. Seniors,AM's and Managers should be more kind and explain the work to them clearly rather than making last minute changes.

HR is scheduling the interviews without checking time with me. One interview was scheduled and then it was rescheduled to a different time at last minute. I wasn't available at that time so I mailed the HR for a different slot. They again scheduled it for a later date without checking the time with me.
