My manager says to serve the full notice period or be labelled absconded. I asked the HR whether I will be labelled as absconded if I agree to buyout the shortfall but they're not replying. I’ve been working for a small investment firm for about a year and am having some issues with my boss. We have a weekly check-in but he’s ALWAYS 2-3 hours late, or skips the meeting altogether without warning. He also never replies to any of the emails I send. I already spoke with him about these issues, but things haven’t really changed. I really like the work I do but I’m starting to feel frustrated about the situation. Any advice? Or anyone else in a similar situation?

I see two crowds these days. One thinks housing market will crash. The other thinks housing market will soar.

The contrarian in me makes me think this is a decent indication that housing market will stagnate (or increase minimally) for a few years.

As a general rules, I feel like the majority cannot foresee a crash/surge coming. The prevalence of such expectations would hamper the pre-conditions necessary for such a dramatic change.

Ask “What would they do if they have no signal, in a foreign country and are lost?” They continue to use it. So, I’m interviewing for a position that fits perfectly, HR likes my profile, had great conversations with them. Today I had a Panel interview with HR and the hiring manager. The manager is not experienced, it’s her first r manager role and she’s been in it for 3 months. I was prepared but was out of breath the entire interview, had a knot in my throat, had trouble finding my words. It’s like I had PTSD when this manager came into the picture. Ever had that?
