Does everyone experience flakiness from recruiters? They’ll reach out about a job I didn’t apply for, get me interested, have phone calls, say they’ll schedule a CD interview and then ghost me forever

Is it normal during a lateral interview process to be informed of an interview the day before?

Been in the strat game for over a decade; I’ve realized that a strong department with clear process that is built on end to end problem solving (with time to think) is when I’m happiest vs this award show / case study grind. What are some agencies you all work or have worked at, that value strategy as a department and not a creative case study farm? Looking to figure out what’s next.

Orally accepted a job offer that I’m excited about, but have another interview this week for a different job. I didn’t realize the first offer would come so quickly! Should I cancel the interview this week or go through with it? Small legal community- people talk.

However, I have an interview scheduled for early this week where, after further research, I don’t think I would be very happy. But in 29 of nov show two status on ibegin current and previous status in current it show resume shotlisted and previous it shows evaluation in progress.What it mean?

Have interviews set up at FAANG co and getting good signals, for a position that was posted widely (all across US) but not remote. Haven’t broached the subject of location yet. Would you (1) early on clearly state that you’re not open to relocation but that you would be open to visiting a big office once or twice a month; (2) not say anything now and wait to get an offer and ask for an exemption; or (3) something else?

The work here is too stressful and there is absolutely zero WLB. So I decided to start looking out again. However I am not getting good interview calls. Are most companies not hiring now ? Hi All, I was offered a role with Aecoms San Francisco office working with an energy client for a midlevel associate environmental planner. I wanted to gauge what is a general salary that ones been offered on this team. I felt lowballed at $79k/annual, initially offered 74k. This is given that I had 1.5 years in land use planning and a recent masters graduate in urban planning.

Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I asked ppl at my agency but haven’t gotten a proper explanation. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .

What do account people do at your firm? At mine it seems to be just forwarding emails between the client to the strategy/analytics/creatives who do the work and back. Surely not like this everywhere?!
