Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?
A BCG recruiter ghosted me after she reached out to schedule an interview. How long should I wait before following up? What is the common courtesy to give to ppl at BCG. I don’t wanna come off as too aggressive but I really need to get this interview set as there are other pending confirmations Boston Consulting Group

Hello Verizon fellows, In Deloitte, there's a facility to claim a certain reimbursement for purchasing mobile devices through their portal or something. Similarly, do VDSI employees have any discounts or reimbursement for purchasing devices through Verizon? If so, kindly let me know how to check it out. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately it usually means your book didn’t click with the CD’s I think. I am pretty tight with my recruiter at work and their job is to find a BUNCH of people who are interested and then field them through. If you get ghosted it is usually bc you or your book wasn’t right for the brand they are hiring under. The recruiter doesn’t hire you. The CD’s and ECD’s do. Sucks... but happens. I’m sorry dude.
If that's the case AD1, then they should just send potential books to the CD before reaching out to candidates. Out of that group someone is bound to say yes. Better than wasting people's time.
(Cont.) this has happened to me several times over the last 2 years. We’ll talk on the phone more than once and they’ll act super impressed and then they ghost. I reach back out and I’m met with radio silence. Hope this isn’t just me and recruiters are just like this nowadays?
This is like the recruiter version of the “have you ever had to work a weekend” thread.
I had one reach out to me saying she liked my LinkedIn profile and wanted to know if I’d be interested in interviewing. Problem is ... I already interviewed there and turned the offer down. 😂
