Does EY allow you to use your personal CC to pay for expenses and submit for reimbursement? I feel my CC gives me better rewards and would prefer to use it if possible. EY

Not if Amex is accepted. Of course you get better rewards on your personal card but why does the firm care about you getting rewards when they are paying for the expense?

like

No. It had to actually be on the card EY provides as it feeds into our expense system by account, not person (would you want the firm knowing your personal charges?). You could upgrade the firms card to a Corporate Platinum (points are yours to use) but you aren't supposed to put personal charges on the corporate card, even if you personally upgraded it to platinum (the firm does not reimburse for the upgrade)

like

No you need to use your corporate card

like

I use my personal for things like phone, wifi, gym etc. but corp otherwise!

like

Yeah just do it till they complain or say something to you

Thou shalt use your Corp card for all business expenses. Otherwise expenses may be denied.

What are the deductibles, breakup (items requiring reimbursement or proof) as part of the Special Allowance component of CTC at Fiserv, Inc

The offer letter mentions only the following:
- Basic

- Special Allowance
- Employer PF contribution

Also what is Meal Credit Value?
What is the usual CTC offered with around 10.9 years of experience?

I am currently unemployed (but looking) an opportunity to consult has potentially fallen into my lap. Before I shut it down for a lack of experience, I want to know if it's something that I can even do. It's a very very small company, not even 3 FTE. But they are looking for someone to come in, create a Handbook(I can do that), provide benefits, etc.

Is that difficult to implement? I can't imagine it being so, but I don't want to set myself up to fail.

US permanent residency is finally in process & set for approval within 12 months. Need to start seriously planning to be able to retire here & feeling very behind (early 30s).

Previously lived in a country with more social services & health care so didn’t have to plan as vigorously.

I’m a high earner, so while I can’t buy time, I can contribute more per month/year.

Where do I start outside of a 401k? I’ve heard about RothIRAs but I earn more than the threshold.

We are looking to hire a FTE for systems integration. We are using Mulesoft as an IPAAS. I’m part of the hiring team. The pay is 6 figures it is fully remote, the benefits are insanely good and it can be your second job if you are very good. If you are great, it’s probably 15-20 hours of work per weeks. If you are good enough, I will even cover for you to coordinate with your primary job. DM me if you are interested as I’m tired of the crappy recruiting company we are contracted with.

So, I'm happy at my current job and have been there about 18 months. Our pay is probably 15% below market (AmLaw 100) but so are our billable requirements. An interview for another firm kind of fell into my lap, and I'm debating whether to take it just for the sake of seeing what market really is. Is there something shady about interviewing somewhere you're not totally committed to accepting an offer from?

Tax question - I make about $200k and get half of my income from a W-2 and another half from being an independent contractor. Because, I’m subject to pay both FICA and SECA taxes. Do my social security taxes get capped on amounts paid above the ~$140k threshold across both my W-2 and 1099 incomes or am I out of luck and have to pay more than that since only about 100k of my income is FICA and the other 100K is SECA (which is subject to ~12% overall including the ER portion)?
