Yes but mostly short term is what I have seen. Long term is rare

Short term. I got a few but rejected. My reason is I am not comfortable staying in hotels for too long and being on per diem. 1-2 weeks are fine. But gds never moves your payroll. You will be in gds payroll and getting allowances in onshore.
Rising Star
It depends how you choose to live while in onshore. I prefer to travel, eat good food, shop etc. Hence with 50-60 dollars per day, I don't think I can get much done. So for me, there's no financial benefit at all. But those who really wants to save, I guess they can still save some with this per diem. Not to mention your salary in india remains intact.

Around 4-5 managers from my team are sent to the US for 2 years from last July. The service line is US tax.
Ok if you go US or UK is that even short term
