Try going through your state/county early intervention program. They will do a free evaluation and then offer services based on your income. Even if you exceed the income max, it’s still cheaper than paying out of pocket. We did this for my older son and I think it was around $200/month and the service providers were fantastic. We had speech and occupational therapy from ages 2-3.5 then he started pre school. We were so worried about him back then. He didn’t speak, could barely draw with a crayon, had trouble with gross motor skills. But we could tell he understood everything we said. He laughed a lot. Anyways, now he is 11. And a straight A student, does improv, piano, and plays baseball and football competitively. His handwriting isn’t great. But what are you gonna do :)
