We have a corgi and use a Dyson V7 animal pro and a Roborock S6. The Roborock makes everything more manageable as we run it nearly every day / every other day. Dyson is for hard to reach places and the couch.

Fluffy Corgi owner here (extra bad). For hard floors you’ll need a swiffer-type duster, not a vacuum. They make some nice reusable ones so you aren’t wasting your money buying replacement sheets. We vacuum off the reusable duster to clean it, but the vacuum is useless on the wood and tile floors.

No vacuum can possibly keep up with the amount of shedding. My corgi growing up shed enough to compete with the snow in the Arctic tundra

If you have any hardwood floors, HIGHLY recommend this floor squeegee in conjunction with a vacuum. It also works on carpet really well, with a bit more muscle. It’s my holy grail and gets up so much more hair than any vacuum you’ll ever use. https://www.containerstore.com/s/laundry-cleaning/cleaning/sponges-brushes-brooms/all-terrain-broom-and-squeegee/123d?productId=10000790

Just sharing a win - I’ve not been working as I just had a baby and wanted to spend more time with her before putting her in daycare at 6 months. I was getting really discouraged and starting to worry about having to pay for daycare while still not having a job, and REALLY regretting turning down an offer a few months ago, which was a good offer but not exactly what I wanted. - I just got three great offers in the last 48 hours and am feeling great. Stay confident, ya’ll! Good things will happen

Did anyone else adopt the new Florida Wonders curriculum? We just adopted it this school year, and I teach 4th grade. My team and I have not found a good flow, schedule, or whatever you want to call it. We feel like it teaches too many skills in one lesson, and we are not able to truly teach anything “deep” enough for students to master. Does anyone have any insight? What do you do? Do you like the curriculum? Why or why not? Would you be willing to share what you do weekly/daily? Thanks!

Hi all. Solo parent here and thinking about the holidays. Kiddo & I feel kinda isolated, and I was thinking about hosting a holiday gathering with some families we know. Issue: we have a smallish house with a dining table that will seat 6 and a couple of barstools. House is setup such that living and dining are downstairs; second living room and all bedrooms up. Don't want to do a formal sit down bc I don't feel like we know ppl that well. Thoughts? Recs for a service that can help me "host"?

I don't want to have to deal with that kind of pain again but I don't want to be alone.

Help! 6months and he still absolutely freaks out at bath time. This week I took him in the shower and dropped and entire cooked steak on the ground while I tried to wash him with the detachable shower head and he freaked out and didn’t even try to eat, just ran in circles crying and barking and scratching at the floor.

I was the one who posted about my husband giving me a few months to train my dogs before we had to discuss rehoming at least one. Specifically, one of them growled at home a lot. And then I've posted recently about the same dog having jaw surgery.

Well, after the jaw incident, my husband was the one who had to go pick her up from the hospital and transport her to the surgeon, then back home. Since then, she's been by his side obeying commands, and not growling.

And she looks like Hannibal...

Fellow pup parents.
.
SO has been working in person and I'm slowly returning to work. We got our pup when at least one of us were full time home.
.
Our boy is a year and a half old and we're comfortable leaving him home for under 4 hours at a time.
.
Any recommendations for pet sitting resources?
.
We don't have friends at the moment to leave him behind for the day and we really don't want to impose.
.
We would likely need minimal attention to take
him out to pee and get him back to rest.
