In my jurisdiction in both district and circuit court, the only folks wearing full suits would be the lawyers who are appearing. If you’re going to observe then you wouldn’t need a full suit. Blazer and slacks sounds appropriate.
This is a great point, and probably the direction I’ll go! Thank you
Yeah that’s fine. No one cares what you wear unless you’re addressing the court. Might be different if you’re in a very stuffy jurisdiction.

Zoot suit or youre a beta
I’d wear a full suit, but I wear a suit to the office a lot of the time.

You sounds like youre a fun guy
You're over thinking it. Wear what u got
Suit. You’re a lawyer, you need to have a suit.
You don’t own a suit?
Same as S1. I’ve been fine with a blue blazer and slacks, and I’ve got one lighter blue suit that fits fine and works for weddings but isn’t appropriate for court.
Wear a suit. You’re an officer of the court.
That outfit sounds perfectly fine for observing a hearing without overdressing. Just make sure everything is neat and professional. For anyone needing more background on cases or motions https://utahcourtrecords.org can be a helpful resource to see past rulings and schedules.
