Droga is just management consulting slop.
Goodby has some great creatives but have lost their mid-2000s mojo. Martin has won a ton of business and makes solid margin. Feels like a rare agency that’s functioning.
Yeah, I can’t say Martin feels like a safe move right now especially if it involves having to move to Richmond. And, of all the agencies mentioned, Martin would be the lowest paying of them all.
Droga seems like a sweatyshoppy culture but I like their work the most.
Goodby has had multiple layoffs recently but has good people.
Martin seems solid but their work doesn’t have the same level of impact on me. And I have no interest in moving to VA.
Today? Martin > Goodby > Droga
Judging each at their peak? Goodby.

This. Goodby has had its ebbs and flows. I remember when they originally opened their NYC office like 10 years ago, they were killing it.
Recently they took another hit when their ECDs left to start Bandits and Friends.

Don’t go to Martin unless you have given up your ambition and move to Richmond. Don’t go to Droga unless you have a very good therapist. Don’t go to goodby unless you want to deal with Xfinity and Mountain Dew clients.

Goodby fell of a cliff and Martin is in the middle of nowhere. Droga is meh but the name won’t hurt your cv.
Our work isn’t the best, but it’s better than Martin imo. Ou work-life balance isn’t the best either but I’m sure it’s better than Droga’s. So I guess I’d vouch for our own mediocrity versus theirs.
You know a CCO likes the smell of their own farts when they won’t even accept the LinkedIn requests of coworkers they’ve worked with.
Sticking to freelance, working fewer hours than any full timer at these places, and making more than these places would ever pay me.

listen friend, you’re going to hear a thousand different opinions here but the truth is it entirely depends on what account your working with and which CD’s you’ll be working under. also, like what city you want to be in? Goodby and Martin both have a small presence in New York but more likely than not you’ll be in Richmond or San Francisco. Will you have to work on Chase at Droga? What little piece of Comcast still left at Goodby? Obviously those are bad choices and good ones. Working on Sam Adams at Goodby? Or Levis at Droga? Or GEICO at Martin? Who will you be working with and what part of the organization will you be a part of.
droga for the salary /network/high production budgets, esp if you can stay a couple years without breaking down completely (expect to spend a lot on therapy though)
