Today I see engineers barely with a few years of experience earning lakhs per month. Whereas me despite being in the right place at the right time is working hard 10-11 hours each day even today. I’m hoping to find something that’s easy to assemble and break down for when I need to move, and something that won’t cost an arm and a leg.

I've been a government attorney for nearly three years now and have worked in the same office/division since I passed the bar. I've yet to receive a promotion other than two cost of living increases (in sum, a pay increase of 6k over 3 years). I know this is meager, but I'm mostly ok with it, I just want to see some recognition. On the other hand, it's hard for me to imagine negotiating because (given my inexperience), I don't feel I'd be able to do better anywhere else. Any advice?

Hey all, staff 2 experienced hire here and been trying to figure out this whole dynamic. In terms of general work experience, I often times feel more qualified than some seniors I work with but at the same time, I’m missing core consulting skills and even mindset at times. I’ve been struggling with how hard I should be on myself. Am I expected to only do the work that’s given me? Should I be beating myself up for the amount of down time I seem to have when the rest of the team is frantic?
