Ever tried to work in a company you worked for a few years back? I'm contemplating applying to an open role in my ex-company, but for some reason, I'm holding back. I've heard that companies are super receptive to applications from ex-employees, so they can skip the training part and save a lot of money in the process, but I'd like to hear more from people with first-hand experience with this.

Yes, and it's been amazing. I left on a good note and was welcomed back with even more appreciation than when I elft.

I've known people who have done that, but I haven't myself. I always left on good terms, but the opportunity never presented itself to head back to a former roost. I wouldn't be opposed to the idea, but it would come down to the details. I have a friend who left a company and came back a few years later and has had a nice career there in his second stint. No reason not to do it if the position is attractive.

I went back to my old agency after 5 years in house. I have no regrets. I still had to do basic onboarding and wasn't eligible for full benefits (namely 401k match) until I'd reached the one-year mark again, neither of which were a big deal.

I was at an agency for 6 years as a Sr. CW. I left for an ACD position at another agency. After a year, my new agency had layoffs after losing some business. My old agency took me back as an ACD and I was there for another 5 years. I left on good terms so it wasn’t difficult to come back.

Hi Guys!
I am a Senior SF Admin with 9 years of SF experience. Mostly I look after a team consisting of Admins and do all usual Admin stuff plus BA/Consultant work. I recently got a very good offer from a Product company but the job role is Salesforce Support Manager. Though I don't mind being in support vertical but I am worried that I might drift away from SFDC Domain and get involved more in the Support process and eventually take my career away from Salesforce.
What do you guys think?

Just got another rejection... Is exiting to FAANG or MB really this hard? Trying to go tech.. or mbb, but not getting anywhere. I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected. Interviewed with Google, Amazon, Cisco, McKinsey, and a few others and every-time there is something that is not a match... are the hiring managers looking for like 100% match? That will never happen!!!

Hi! I have a quick question and could use some advice:

I have 1 job offer that is an hour away and pays 45k, after negotiations (Research Associate Position at a University) .

I have just interviewed for a position closer to home and a base salary of 65k, but haven’t heard back from them in about 2 days (He said he would make a decision by yesterday and I’ve reached out).
I have to decide on the first offer by Thursday but I haven’t heard back from the second yet. Thoughts on next move?

Hello UST folks,

Those who don't know we have got the access to "Udemy Business". Earlier it was not allowed, now we can use the Udemy for all learning. I am happy and wanted to share with you all.

It’s hard to trust the partners/leadership when they want us to return to office as being better when we increase offshoring? Also, the pressure on billable hours when all that really matters is how much our fixed labor costs vs. how much we can bill (which is usually fixed fee or at least a range) and the fixed labor costs of offshoring is significantly cheaper so the hours don’t matter. Am I mistaken by this viewpoint?
