Currently pregnant with baby 2 and a start-up which I was really keen on about 9 months ago came back around to offer me a position. I am about 4.5 months away from leave with my current firm. Am terribly nervous about accepting an getting more even half of the leave I could have gotten before. To top it all off they are offering 50% salary until they raise their target (about 30% to their goal right now). This position is in my dream field and a great fit for me, but the timing couldn’t be wors
So I’ve gotten the AmEx Platinum offer for 150K bonus points (Gold for 75K). I have another corporate card so the annual fee is $550. Even without considering the statement credits, centurion lounge, etc… it’s worth it for the bonus alone right? Like 150K points > $550, and I get the perks as free benefit. I’d plan to downgrade in 1 year. Any thoughts?
Does anyone know what the salary range is for a first year FDD Manager at the B4? HCOL city. TIA

What are your thoughts on moving from analytics consulting (incentive compensation, forecasting) to strategy consulting? I recently made the same move and am wondering if I made the right choice?
Currently an A3 in audit. My team communicated to me that they’re pushing for me to get mid-year promo (Jan 2022) but I’m also interested in leaving to another Big 4 for AAS as an S1. Current salary is $73.6k and am unsure of how much I should be going for to make the jump worth it. I know EY FAAS offered a friend $85k in my market but assuming I get mid year promo I’m not so sure the salary bump would be significant enough. How much room for negotiation is there with Big 4 experienced hires?

Got a new opportunity with Infosys as Senior Associate Consultant Banking Domain for 11LPA+1L Joining Bonus. Now, as I transitioned to PM role, there are tons of opportunities to learn and grow, however, CTC and hikes are meagre. Whereas, with the new opportunity, CTC is good, but cant figure out what career would be in Infosys and after.

How have people approached using a competing offer to increase comp at current firm. Currently at boutique with below mkt pay. Enjoy the firm in almost every way. Is there any harm in asking a match?
Is it considered unreasonable or rude to ask recruiters to provide JD and compensation range before the first phone conversation.? I feel that would save all involved precious time.
Flying internationally and am paid an hourly rate. Do I bill for the entire 20+ hour flight time? I certainly wouldn’t be on a plane if it weren’t for the job, so I am thinking I should. Thoughts?
Is it a bad sign I haven’t heard anything after a second round interview a week ago? Ideally I thought I would have heard some news already since the interviews went well..
Can anyone opine on NY 529 plans? Have one kid and debating if it is beneficial. I like the tax benefits it provides but not sure if the advantages go away if I end up relocating outside US after 4-5 years, or if my kid decides to not study in US or NY in future. Any opinions would be really helpful.
Why don't the insurance companies just say we won't pay for your care if you get covid and could have been vaccinated?
I’m studying for the SHRM-CP with the Mometrix (study guides, online course, and flash cards), however I’m super overwhelmed with all of the information. What are some best practices to ensure I grasp all of the concept ? Any advice would be much appreciated!!!

We are picking up two Havanese puppies this weekend. If you have pet insurance that you like, could you let me know the provider. Thank you.
Anyone here join Orange Theory as a beginner? Pre-pandemic I was an avid gym goer but only really did cardio & weight machines. I’ve been doing at home workouts but I’m losing interest. I’m not super strong or fit and definitely can’t run fast or long as I once did. Im a little nervous going to a group exercise glass being new. Would love to hear people’s thoughts. Im trying to lose covid weight. Are there other fitness studios you enjoy more/made a difference? Thank you!
If my company doesn’t match 401k at all, should I pull the ~$4k out (with whatever fees that incurs for early) to fill 2020 & 2021 Roth IRA allocations before deadline is up?
I would love to explore opportunities at PWC or Deloitte - my focus is financial services and currently work in M&A. Ivy League MBA and discreetly looking to have a coffee chat.
Interview for a position that I am slightly overqualified for now and lose bonus at my current firm or recruit for potential promoted position in a few months with the risk that the position may no longer be open?
I think my 2yr old son is having severe social anxiety issues… he is perfectly fine at home, playing and laughing and talking. But outside especially when other people get closer to him (especially small kids at his age) he immediately freaks out, becomes very anxious, and would try to flee the scene as soon as possible. Ever since he’s a baby we take him to play ground everyday and he is still the same. Any moms experienced the same?

If you’ve gotten an offer from one shop while you’re in the 2nd round of interviews with a few others, is there a ‘best practices’ for being diplomatic whilst using it to your advantage?
Question for you all: Left D to Company A for a 50% raise in TC and slated to start in <1 week. However, just got an offer at Company B for a 100% raise in TC compared to D, or 30% raise in TC compared to company A. Both firms do similar work but B provides a more solid comp package. Job duties would be relatively similar. Is the % jump worth burning the bridge? Would have chosen Company B if the offer came sooner but the % difference in A to B is at my [personal] 30% threshold. TIA!
