Executive MBA. Booth or Kellogg?

Worth it at ~32?

Booth will probably be a lot more work and annoying people than Kellogg

You haven't even applied so doesn't matter at this point. Apply to both and go to whichever one takes you. If both, the one that gives you the best scholarship.

I’m not debating anything. I’m asking other’s opinions between two schools in the same city. It’s okay for me to have a list of schools I’m interested in and get feedback to focus my efforts. Why do you have such a hard-on about this?

Booth. 32 will still be young in exec program so no issues there. At $40 - $50k out of pocket, seems like a great return given your circumstance (e.g., personal goal to have MBA, no family so able to spend time, etc.)

I did EMBA at Kellogg at 34 and I couldn’t have been happier with the decision. I loved the experience and the people and professors were incredible. I learned as much from my cohort as my professors. I really looked forward to my class weekends.

Booth for sure. Gives you a strong foundation in finance and other core skills while expandimg your network for Csuite which will be critical and help in the long run. If you're more interested in brand /marketing, then maybe Kellogg makes more sense

helpful

This is a very outdated and stereotypical view on Booth vs Kellogg

Cont: I’m currently industry and have a pretty good path to C-suite, so I don’t “need” the degree. However, it would fulfill a personal goal. After employer reimbursement, I’d be out of pocket ~$40-50K. Single and schedule would be tough, but I’d hate to be 10 years down the road wishing I did it.

Either will be worth it.

Thanks for the input! Turning 30 soon and just moved to Chicago, so I’ve got a nice runway to prepare for the application process.

Has anyone taken part of the education reimbursement program? I’ve been here for 4 years and I’m thinking of obtaining my Master’s in Organizational Leadership, but I feel like with this merger, if I started the program and then there are layoffs or too many new hires, or work just becomes overwhelming, I wouldn’t be able to complete my program. I’m already wearing multiple hats when it comes to work. Does anyone have insight on how it works/what it’s like? Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone! I’m struggling to decide whether I should pursue a full time MBA or a Part Time MBA. Truly, what scares me about a full time one is the fact that I won’t work for two years. I know it’s a big investment and I’ll be rewarded for ir later on, but the thought of it still scares me. I would love to get someone’s thoughts on this! Is the experience very different? Will I be exhausted if I do the part time? Is there something I’m not considering when it comes to the Full Time?
