EY’s bonuses are abysmal. Make sure you take that into account. Deloitte pays highest bonus of B4. Also, don’t underestimate the network you’ve built and the time to build it at a new firm. Good luck
No. Salary bump not significant enough to leave the green dot.
From peeps jumping from D to EY, they like the culture better in EY, people take time to coach you and get to know you, from my experiences, if that matters
Those who staff you in projects could care less what school you went to. Set it up on your projects and network and you’ll get those meaty projects you speak of
Sounds like In a year you will be in same spot. Make the move for other reasons if you’d like, but don’t move for the money difference
@Op I mean that can help you at first but at the end of the day I staff people who do the best job. I could care less if they went to HBS vs any other school. I work with S&O all the time and all the PPDS I know do the same thing. Sounds like you gotta step up your networking game
I understand Deloitte has better projects overall but being from non target school I feel like my skills are underutilized and feel I can do much better with meaty stuff over fluff besides bowing down to immature instructions from less experienced SCs. However, confused with potentially better exposure at D vs EY.
At D you will always be underutilized, jump now & if you like D you can come again anytime if they give you better offer.
It’s hard to move for anything less than 20%, also have you considered the different bonus structures and type of work that you’d be doing?
I left Deloitte but KPMG gave me 22% bump. I like it here. Maybe you’ll like it at EY
DD1 I am in S&O and I have this impression they do care abt schools. Its the network based on common alumni that we exp. hires lack.
DD1, to have you noticed with best job, you need to get that job at first. Just Networking doesn’t get projects its also your project work. Doing excellent work in PRDs also doesn’t get projects unless they are sold which is not always the case.
