Hi Fishies, I was hired for wealth and asset management project EY . It is capital market domain. Any body have any idea about this project going on in EY and the tools used for it.
Please advise if anyone have idea about it.
Just want to know any global tool they use for wealth and asset management, so it's a plus for me to join.
Thanks in advance

As many pointed out, take McK unless you have a better cultural fit with BCG. You will have a better shot at being involved in high-impact projects like turbocharging sales of opioids (jks but like you can’t go wrong with either - congrats)

There’s a reason it’s MBB, not BMB.

I am in similar shoes and leaning towards BCG more because I connect with the people better and feel like overall it’s more pleasant (from campus recruiting at HSW to experience hire)
Go for office with people you clicked with the most. Probably your fit will have bigger impact.
^this si the right answer
Agree with BCG. BCG has great people, a better culture, and the best expense policy
Can’t go wrong either way, go with whichever you clicked more with
BCG is better from a compensation perspective unless you plan to stay until ~senior EM
I would say BCG. I love how they treat their employees (and acknowledge and provide perks for family members) and have liked every one I have met there. While they are an up or out culture associates are rooting for you and are happy to provide support. Their insurance plan is unreal. They also have a great staffing model which is very intentional (compared to my firm) in order to set you up for success. Lastly their performance management process is streamlined and transparent (eg the panel may feel you aren’t ready for promotion but will reevaluate you in 3 months and promote you then versus waiting a year).
I love the positive energy here but the staffing and performance mgmt experience at BCG is variable by office and who your advisor is
If YOE < 2 years go for it.
Just curious. Are those the same positions that you’d apply to straight out of undergrad? I thought an experienced hire would apply to different position
Thanks! I plan on taking a similar route as you and it’s inspiring to see your success. Currently in a T2 firm rn with no MBA....also I’d choose M 😉
Congrats. Generalist roles?
Yup generalist roles!
If you’re going to take the demotion, go for McKinsey (unless you culturally fit better with BCG)
BCG offers very little of the employee value prop it claims. In recruiting I thought BCG was essentially a “nicer” version of Mck but that has not been my experience
Honestly BCG has better perks for new employees and isn’t going through scandals right now
