The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

I received an email from the HR at Monitor Deloitte that I've cleared the case round and a back to back discussion with partner and director of the team will be scheduled. Been almost 3 days since this email, haven't received asking for availability from the scheduling team. This for a role with their Lifesciences Strategy practice in the UK. How long do they typically take to schedule the final round of discussions? Do they eliminate candidates in this round?

It's BCN, which isn't exactly the same as Bain. Even though the work is still not bad, I'd suggest Deloitte in Strategy roles, if you are getting one strictly into it.
I can’t believe someone would make this list and put Bain at the same level. You deserve Big4
Maybe not BCG1 😉
Obviously Bain & Co for pure strategy consulting work
Rising Star
BCN != Bain .
If you don’t mind, what is the CTC range they are offering? Some of these firms offer high package and than hardly any hikes.
You'd probably have to mention pay as well. All the same means nothing because all of these operate differently and offer different levels of growth. When you can do that, you'd get a better answer.
Cheers!
At D, you can choose where you actually work through networking pretty easily if you invest the time to do so.
Yes
Pro
Depends a lot on the team.
Bain & Company
Not even a second thought. You can always go Bain -> T2 / Big4 but not often to Bain.
Agree with NTT1.
It’s BCN, not Bain’s core business line. Without knowing what GDS, KGS mean, I’m not sure. If Deloitte is in the core biz, I’d go there.
KPMG GLOBAL Services = US-India
In India say any Big4 … BCN is more watered down than Bain US…
Assume WLB and everything is the same go with your gut on who you feel like you like to work with each department at any BIG4 can be awesome or miserable … go with what you feel is the best if all the Compensation are similar
At EY GDS you will get a flavor of startup company operating with no clear boundaries. Processes are not defined clearly.
While it's good opportunity to learn but most of times you may end up having competing priorities.
I know Deloitte has better perks as compared to EY GDS, PWC. If your salary is same, you can go with it.
