The biggest "sin" here is transparency....for an organization that preaches it, seems things are a little more opaque than promised !

It actually seems like the issue was too much transparency (unintentional!) in this case

Are they going to pay out what you have already accrued, or does that go away and you get $0?

I’m curious too do you lose it does it go to zero in CA?

I have been considering going back to school but I left active duty 15 years ago and my Post 9/11 expired this summer.

I’ve been asked to weigh in on how to improve my firms parental leave policy. It’s currently 8 weeks paid for birth parent with an extra week for each year at the firm (up to 12 weeks total) and 2 weeks paid for non-birth parent. I’m in a major city, firm is a boutique that has been around a very long time. What would you suggest? Any studies or research you’ve seen recently on trends in parental leave policies also helpful.
