After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!
JPMorgan Chase JPMorgan Investment Management
Got offer from JPMorgan Chase , but variable pay percent was not mentioned in it. HR told it will be around 10-12% . Is it true? It's for VP/602/Commercial Banking? How much we variable pay will get annually? Can someone help as based on this only in have to decide whether, I can go with counter offer or not?
Hi Fishes,
Can anyone of you please tell me what would be the hierarchy level for a person joining in JPMorgan Chase with 5+ YOE?
What should be the naming convention of design for a person with this experience?
Analyst or Associate or Senior Analyst or Senior Associate?
Any leads would be highly appreciated.
TIA

Only if you give them a reason to. My understanding is that the policy says you need to keep all receipts (technically) but don't need to submit them. Because of this I'd be so screwed if I were audited
Cash expenses for breakfast, cash tips, even amount expenses (Starbucks app refill), if your cash expenses are at 35% of your imports (3 of 7 expenses), excessive taxi charges, travel day dinners time stamp pull from Amex. Amount of expense reports based on travel, There are a few more but I can't think of them
You guys fax in expense receipts? Is it the 90's again?
Let's just do per diem for the love of God
All that said I don't recommend living loose and free with the expense policy. Senior Managers being vetted for partner have been fired for expense policy violations. Not worth it.
EY4 is saying anything under 25 doesn't require a receipt. So theoretically you could manually enter an entry for breakfast (e.g. $11.50) and it would go through.
@kpmg1...We only have to send receipts for hotel, misc sundry expenses and anything over 25 that is NOT charged to AmEx
Can they actually look at time stamps? I find that hard to believe. And I can't believe they didn't put breakfast as cash...
Is that a legit red flag or are you making an educated guess? What are other red flags? Expense audits feel like a scary myth that people only ever hear about, never see themselves
@EY3 could you elaborate on travel day dinners?
The thing that drives me insane about our expense policy is not being able to expense dinner when you get home on Thursdays. Sometimes I have tight connections and can't grab dinner at the airport. By the time plane lands it's past 9 and I haven't eaten since lunch (that EY won't pay for) and then I'm expected to pay for my dinner
Totally. Meal allowance policy could Be updated to take 5 from the bfast and 5 or 10 from dinner allowances and apply it to lunch. In orientation the rationale for no lunch they gave was "if u were local, you'd have to pay for lunch anyway". So dumb.
The rationale for no lunch bc you'd have to buy it at home is flawed. You can control costs at home by bringing lunch, frozen meals, etc. That's just not possible for many/most travel site work. Plus many locations are a lot more expensive.
Not literally fax. It's done via email
If the project sponsor wants he can have the whole project audited.. Mine got audited last year randomly for the previous year and I know 2 people who had to pay back over 3K and 6-7 other people who had to pay back all breakfast expenses because they were using it for lunch.. They can look at time stamps on your Corp card, etc
Yup they can! And don't have more cash than import expenses.. Biggest red flag to get you audited!
What a miserable expense policy.
Just key in lunch for breakfast as if it were cash. Problem solved
EY3 were you Tampa or LA by any chance last year?
EY4: what does that mean? Sorry new to the firm. The expense policy is very complicated.
