Anyone see a therapist regularly? Been in a funk the past year

Just started a few weeks ago, I love it. I didn't have any massive issues but overall felt like there were a number of smaller life stressors that were adding up to make me feel somewhat overwhelmed (e.g., aging parents, managing being a working mom, indecisiveness about staying in this career vs. taking a risk, etc.).

It's been really nice to have a professional to talk to and help filter through managing these issues and understanding myself better.

Every week or two. Invaluable. I had a lot of big issues - failing marriage, professional issues - and a lot of smaller ones. We turn to doctors teachers trainers coaches in every other aspect of our lives... mental health is just as important, if not more so.

Everyone should see a therapist. One of the best things you can do for yourself.

Every two weeks over FaceTime. She’s terrific and has helped immensely. I pay out of pocket $100/hour.

Is this sort of thing covered by insurance?

like

It depends - you can definitely find one that is fully or partially covered, though there are a lot of good ones that don't take insurance. I would start by calling your insurance company and asking them for a list of covered providers in your area.

Every Friday to every other Friday for the last five years since my mom died. It’s saved my life. Some therapists take insurance. Mine doesn’t but has a sliding scale starting at 75/hour.
Please give it a try. And if you don’t like the first one, that’s okay!! Don’t be shy to go until you find one that works for you. That’s important.

Weekly. It had been a saving grace.

I go weekly. LOVE IT!

I do it weekly and have done so for the past 5 years. We should take care of ourselves the same way or better than we take care of our cars....

Yes! Started earlier this year- best decision I ever made. I was basically in a funk too and working through a lot of evolving personal relationships. It’s helped me tremendously

Hi guys

This question may not be related. However I wanted to know from personal and family point of view how it is like to relocate from India and live abroad .
Let's say Family consists of husband , wife and a kid . I understand we will get good facilities, education, cleanliness , good air etc , however I wanted to check whether people gel up easily in the new environment? Don't they feel loneliness/ difficult to adjust? Do they look for similar asian nationalities to kill boredom?

Had my first egg retrieval a few weeks ago. Still trying to comprehend what happened. All my ultrasounds and blood work came back perfect. In the end, I had 30 follicles and they were only able to retrieve 3 eggs. Our embryologist said my egg quality was very poor and one had been dead for a long time. None of my tests ever indicated any issues. I have tested my egg reserve twice and everything came back normal. Any thoughts/advice? I’m really at a loss for words.

M/SM and above, why do you label a meeting as “touch point” or ask if you can have a “quick chat” when it’s something serious? Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.
