EYP M&A and PWC deals team, which is a better option?

PwC touches more deals than any other firm.

If you had a type of work or project preference and were deliberate in your networking, that could lend to being able to align yourself to doing more of what you want to do.

Not always the case but something to consider.

For PwC, DDV or Deals Strategy/PEVC? If the latter, I would say EYP for diligence and PEVC for value creation. Strategy& bonus targets are huge but the EYP diligence group is more tenured and was the core offering of Parthenon prior to merger while Strategy& pedigree is in traditional strategy. On DDV side, you’ll get paid more at EYP on average. If you are a top performer with an MBA, DDV can pay slightly higher than EYP all in, but it’s rare.

EY-P if it’s a stepping stone. The titles/progression is better

What are the exit opportunities then?

Do you have an offer with EY-P?

My role is supposed to be a new grad Product Management role. Instead, I’m being put on more strategic business things akin to program management. Not sure whether to push for more of a product role since that’s what I signed on for or accept the different work since it seems to be higher level, with more impact and visibility in the org. Suggestions?

Hey fellow moms, curious to know about any exceptionally good or bad policies from companies to help parents navigate covid, parenting and work.

My boss asked me for how we could better support parents as winter approaches and younger kids still can’t get vaccinated. Have any of your companies handled things like quarantining with young kids while still working well?

If you got a job offer and were under 12 weeks pregnant, would you say anything? I’m not pregnant (or currently employed haha) but i just did ivf and am considering doing my transfer next month, so thinking ahead. I know to ask about their leave policy. Also assuming if it’s freelance you don’t bother telling them at all unless if conflicts with your due date.

Hi Everyone, I’m applying to an M&A tax senior position with PwC. Currently an S1 looking to make a switch from a compliance and some consulting Real Estate & PE clients background to more Deals work aka M&A. What are some skills or subject matters I should be brushing up to ease the transition?

I need your all’s advice. I lead a two person CorpDev and strategy team at a PE backed company. Current TC is $216K + options that could be worth $300-600K+ in a few years. Receiving potential offers of TC for $250K-275K but without options. I live in a low cost city, like the company / industry and team, and have great WLB, autonomy and flexibility. I’ve also only been in this role for 5 months (we’re not an acquisitive company; I was brought on to build the M&A function). Continued below…
