AWS cloud application architect. Had an on-site interview with AWS a few days ago and just got an email saying they want to talk to me about next steps. The role is cloud application architect but I want to ask them about the senior cloud application architect role. I have all the relevant experience for that role and feel like I’d be a better fit for that senior role. How should I approach this conversation? Is this even possible? Amazon

I posted my startup on here a couple of weeks ago and received valuable feedback from this bowl. I’ve made updates to the landing page and I’m looking for additional feedback. The site is still a work in progress, but would really appreciate if you could please take a few minutes to check out the site (Outvisory.com) and give feedback. Do you get the site’s value prop? What’s missing? First impressions etc. thank you!
There seems to be quite a few people in here looking to join a startup.

If you're interested in joining us, and you think you have skills that suit our business, you could drop me a speculative application by email at hello@OptimAero.ai.

Take your time. There will always be someone making more money, but money doesn’t equate to fulfillment. Ask if you’re doing what you want to be doing. If you are doing what you’re passionate about or working towards it, other people’s earnings won’t matter. Take time to figure out where you want to be and what that looks like in the future and work towards it

Without knowing numbers it’s hard to give advice. Are you making $40k or $100k. Why do you think it’s a huge cost to change (assuming you are thinking school or something). There are ways to increase income without taking on a huge cost. If you do have to go back to school, you can find a job somewhere that will pay for part of it. You could try to work for the school and get it for free (ie i know a girl who got a job at Harvard just because her masters would be free that way). You can also pivot your career and build experience that is just as valuable as a degree. I promise you that it is all possible as long as you plot out your moves carefully.
There was a thread in another bowl where people suggested doing the math out in terms of expected income post MBA and cost. It seems that many of those people paid their MBAs off in the 1-2 years following school. You can probably spreadsheet school v cost v expected income to minimize cost and maximize potential.
I say this as someone who didn’t even finish college but ended up pulling in a higher income than many of my peers. If you are sharp and creative with roles that you target, you will get where you need to go. But there will always be someone who earns more. Make sure you make choices that will fulfill you as well.
