Would anyone happen to have more information about the Investment Center ADFA, Remote Financial Advisor position w/PNC? I am most interested in the base salary/commission structure. I am in a licensed banker role right now and trying to feel out if this would be a good way to work into PNC Investments in lieu of a traditional branch Financial Advisor position. My thought is this could be a decent way to build a foundation of clients and then transition to a branch role.

Have you ever quit a freelance job after taking it because you realized it was going to be absolutely terrible?

My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.

Other than me being sick of my job and wanting more money, what are some other good reasons I can tell a recruiter why I'm looking for a lateral position change?

We are seeing more pushback from employees on working 40 hours. We offer flexibility (wfh), 11 holidays and another 3 wks PTO. Seems like a good gig, I think, at 40-45 hrs. Anyone seeing this too?

If any company give more salary than another competitor for same position, if we show their offer. In this case what will be the expectation from candidate.
Because some time consultant level guy gets an salary of lead level guy.

I can really use some direction. My background, I've worked 2 years in strategy and am currently coming off an exhausting year 2 in investment banking. I didn't particularly enjoy either role and am not interested in moving over to the buy-side or some monotonous FP&A role. Everybody says there's exit-ops aplenty, but I find myself with less options and even more picky than I did as an ambitious T2 undergrad student. Where do I go from here?

Cold applied for an awesome role, had an interview with hiring manager, recruiter, and given a pretty hefty assignment that I’m really proud of nailing. They followed up with an email asking for 4-5 days that I am available for a full day of interviews. Gave them 4-5 days, started planning for how I’d get those days off work during insane times at current job, and now not a single word from them to confirm a date. Been over a week now. Sad. Pretty jaded. What can I do? Already followed up

Would you guys consider leaving for a role that offers a much higher base salary but no opportunities to advance? Got an offer that’s an 85% raise adjusted for cost of living. The work seems interesting and I like the company but it’s a smaller office so I basically couldn’t get promoted unless my boss retires or quits.

I know that some other associates at my level are approximately 30% behind other associates in hours on a month to month basis. Yet all of these associates say they are “at capacity”, and myself and another associate still end up being assigned work instead of them. How do we handle this? Everyone has a different perspective on this but would love to hear yours. Someone has debt ranging say 4-5% interest rates. Do you attack debt more then investing to move towards a debt free life or do you go after investments since they return historically above that then paying down closer towards retirement. I know the latter looks better on paper but what about the psychological factors of being debt free and the guaranteed return on interest savings.
