What should my requested salary be for a Senior Intelligence Analyst position with CrowdStrike ? I have a bachelors degree and 5 years of experience as an intelligence analyst. Current salary is 56k in NC, but when I was in DC I was making 86k (big locality change)… which makes me confused on what I should expect for a remote job.

Those all say Migrant Assistance… I just scrolled up to 5 days of grants news and they’re all allocated towards migrant assistance services. Nothing is allocated to Emergency Disaster Relief.

I strongly agree!!!! Why does everything have to be political? People lives are in jeopardy but there are so many who choose to believe fake news. It is sooo sad. SHAME on them.
And they can’t even step in for Milton, but yet here we are sending loads and loads overseas. This makes me want to quit the federal government altogether.
You are speaking about things you don’t even know. FEMA CANT deploy people right in the middle of a hurricane. what good would that do if their own people are in harms way. just because don’t see things doesn’t mean they arent doing happening. they are literally deploying people and having people on stand by for Milton and also working many other disasters that you don’t see in the media. Also have to remember all of the different channels and challenges they have to go through before taking action.
Misinformation refers to false information that is spread without the intent to mislead, often due to mistakes or misunderstandings. In contrast, disinformation is deliberately false information that is spread with the intent to deceive or manipulate others. Just like a lot of the comments in this feed. My team is currently helping many people in one of the many disaster areas. Many of you with the false and negative comments should volunteer to help any of these people in need instead of writing comments that have zero merit.
But they said they were broke…. So not sure “lack” is the right word here. They’re just broke lol.
They can’t help. They need to do a huge ass telethon like they did for stand up for cancer or Katrina with all these celebs and influencers.

OP, since you're "on the inside" can you give us more info on what the heck is actually going on? I'm also hearing that FEMA (or other agencies) is preventing volunteers from helping those in desperate need and even blocked off a runway with helicopters to prevent inbound cargo from landing there. Could be fake news but I am seeing and hearing about this from multiple sources so definitely seems odd.
Yeah feel free to let us know what's circulating inside the halls of FEMA. From my perspective, there is real shady sh!t going on but it makes no sense.
FEMA is not broke... they have plenty of present and future TAXPAYER based grant funds to take care of NONTAXPAYER migrants. This is the most black mirror event I have ever seen. People with eyes and computers have access to these FEMA grant docs but would rather CNN or FOX News tell them what to think. Here's a small sample of the HUNDREDS of grants WE pay for yet WE are told the funds are dried/drying up... check for yourself at usaspending.gov (one example link is https://www.usaspending.gov/award/ASST_NON_EMW-2024-SP-05073_7022/) before you reply with anything other than agreement 😉

And yet people on the ground in North Carolina are reporting the opposite. They are saying there are lots of folks from FEMA, the National Guard, charities and just ordinary citizen volunteers providing them with food, shelter and assistance. So I don't know what your sources are but maybe you should get in your car and drive to North Carolina and talk to the folks there. Just because Trump or Vance say something doesn't mean it's true. They only care about winning an election and not about helping the people in North Carolina.
Maybe there shouldn’t be so many climate change deniers within the House that hold the purse strings while Clutching their pearls and kissing a large orange arse. Few years back FEMA got some regular GS workers to go and help out in PR & USVI & TX. I suspect that will happen again.
But this is literally NOT the place to have this discussio. You have a job at FEMA and don’t like it, quit. it’s nothing off the back of Uncle Sugar. Plenty of people want your job, “Program Delivery Manager”.

There are even some instances, where we are to provide a service to citizens but cannot because the powers that be won't allow. Think of the government like Bob's insurance position in The Incredibles. Retaliation will find you for helping more than you should. There's so much that could be said, but internally some of these offices are so toxic there's no way the American ppl can expect to receive aid, help, or a service.
So why is FEMA actually on the ground in affected areas? If you care about FEMA, please vote like you mean it. Project 25 will close FEMA and many other programs.
Fk FEMA....my coworkers and I are looking for a way outta here. I've worked here now 10yrs and this agency has gone to the dogs!! Its worst Internally, more than you'll ever know.
