I wanted to know how long does Course5i take to release an offer, I cleared all rounds last friday and was going to get an offer from HR early this week (by Monday evening or Tuesday) but didn’t get any offer till now.

I loved the role and I am still excited to join the organisation so mailed a follow up to the HR yesterday but did not get any response till now. I do not want to follow up for the next 1-2 days since I feel it would be too pushy from my end.

Considering a move to industry. Have worked 5 years in consulting. Interviewing currently at the Director /VP level at banks and wondering what the base + salary + age range is.

I have been talking to a recruiter for a little over a month about a position. I let her know out the gate that I really wasn’t looking to change jobs, but she just kept wanting to continuing the conversation. I didn’t have 2 interviews with the hiring coming and they know that I am not really looking to make a switch. They are now working on an offer letter and I know they’re going to offer me more money. I’m having my annual review this week. Any advice on how to handle a) job offer b) review?

A quick note about what I’ve experienced, in my decade long career, is the real advantage of MBB or FAANG - it gives you a shot at stretch roles that are outside your expertise. Not all the time or even most of the time compared to better candidates with specific experience for the role but gives you this wildcard shot at a vast array of opportunities.

I distinctly remember as an Analyst on my first project telling my PPMD and SM that I hated PPT and excel, and thought it was the stupidest thing ever that we had to align everything and storyboard. Thankfully they laughed and didn’t roll me off. Now I’m in industry corporate strategy and teaching my new analysts how to create slides and she said the same thing😬. Funny how things change, and now I realize that those consulting skills are more important as you move up in corporate America
