I disliked my first year as well but as I got more experience and starting to manage people I started to enjoy it more
Either switch to a different group or switch professions cuz it’s not gonna get better.
Completely agree! The only downside is that unrealistic deadlines are always set as well as cutting down hours
Same as KPMG 1 - I had a hard time adjusting to post-grad life, but after a year it got better. Could just be that adjustment!
Figure out what it is specifically that you hate...hours, people, assignments, location, etc so you can know where is the next right move
Switch groups maybe? I still do dread but I switched offices and groups and finally understand the hokey answer of liking working with the people as I like my coworkers. If you hate being an associate, push harder to find projects where you can have a bigger role.
Moved offices but would talk to hr as well as people in other groups. It might not be easy or fast but you can do it
Apply for a new job, internally or externally. Don't do something you don't like. And the longer you're in it, the harder it is to change. I'm only an A3 but still REGULARLY hear "you don't have enough experience in this particular position to be hired as a senior, but you have way too much experience to be hired as a junior".
