Follow the money, you can always return to consulting

How do you even need advice? Facepalm
Can I ask what company is willing to pay that much for a program manager? Even $50k over my current salary to jump to industry would be very attractive for me.
Congratulations. Does that 100k include any one time sign on ? If getting stocks, confirm the vesting schedule. 200k of stocks doesn't always mean 50k per year.
So, will your early bonus be around 15k too ? Else, I would see this as a 85k increase. Is it 20k worth of stocks per year or 20k worth vested over 4 years ? Vesting schedule matters too since for e.g Amazon has 5% vesting in the first year. Again, your base increase maybe amazing and all the other things would be cherry on top.
You give them one shot and if they don't match or close to what you want you go. Everyone wants to talk about loyalty but it goes both ways. I've had it happen three times at Deloitte when someone comes knocking for my specialty. I talk to my coach about the offer. She's come back with raises and retention bonuses that have gotten me close so I've stayed. Don't expect your current place to match what the market is offering but don't let them short you. Sometimes the market goes a little crazy but each of my times they've come back to ~10% short of what the market is offering me. That always seemed like a fair compromise to not reset my network.
Stockholm syndrome.
Take the industry job then comeback to consulting at the higher level and better pay
100k would probably be house hold earning for many. Why are you still doubting!
I suggest saying.. "F you, pay me!"
Go enjoy your life. Leave
Consulting isn’t going anywhere. Take the job you can always come back.
You better take it before they retract the offer
Husband just went industry (tech) from strategy consulting and it is SO MUCH BETTER
To be clear you already told your current employer that you have another offer? If so,, you're done there.
I can’t imagine loving consulting so much that this is even a consideration 🤯

You don't feel ready to leave consulting cause you came from industry. But you would be actually going back to industry... Am I missreading something?
