Fishes- really need a hand here. My husband needs to secure a predominantly wfh role because of health reasons/covid. He's currently with a defense agency. He works as a contracting officer and his main experience points are multimillion-dollar program management, developing acquisition and financial program strategy, software procurements for major cloud, financial operations, and security solutions. He's managed teams up to 15 people per contract, and multiple contracts simultaneously. Cont...

Look at Amazon PM roles too! We’re hella hiring.

A referral can’t ever hurt.
Yes, Amazon website.
Not sure what the interview process is like for PM roles but probably phone screen, interview panel. Might be a call with the manager. May involve an excel test.

Hi OP, is he in the 1102 job series? I used to work in federal contracting and then used the experience to pivot to consulting. However I have much less experience like <2 YOE. Happy to chat with him if it would be helpful.

like

BCG FED is growing like mad, but they will also want him to keep a clearance. Alternatively, our Public Sector practice is also growing rapidly. May be worth investigating.

like

Interesting, that is helpful to know. I would want to stay in commercial but wouldn’t mind doing federal work every once in a while to keep my clearance active.

Have you looked at Accenture Federal Services? If not let me know if you want a referral.

We have some contract manager positions open that I know have remote ability. Feel free to search Booz jobs and dm if you have Qs.

I've been trying to break him into consulting, as I know there's a shift to do more work from home, and that he would enjoy the work/be good asset. Does anyone know of anything open that might be good fit and could offer a referral? He has heavy FAR experience and managing proposals on the government side. He has an MBA, not a top school though. We've applied to a few things but they all want them to keep his TSSCI clearance which is just not an option for us. Would appreciate any direction, tips.

Tell him to checkout Deloitte GPS!

Tried that route- there were a few contracts type roles open and one SC procurement role, it's been several weeks and havent heard anything- but I get the sense that deloitte recruiting is slow unless it's a hiring event.

I am expecting an offer from Master Card for Senior Software Engineer position in O Fallon MO. Please let me know what kind of base salary I can expect with 11 yrs experience . I don’t wanna undersell but also trying to avoid being aggressive but quote a decent number which will be achievable. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Is 125k $ base a fair value for or I can pitch higher? They have a 15 to 20 % bonus on top of base pay and a 10% match on 401k which the recruiter keep highlighting.

I started in my first SDR position in a small SaaS start up few months ago. I am the only SDR and their first ever.
The base salary is ok but I haven’t received any commission structure up to this day.
I book an average of 3-5 demos per week. People always show up, but the thing that worries me is that I do not have a way to track how many meetings I book in our CRM,and to be honest I feel like I didn’t get the best training overall. Should I start looking somewhere else? Thoughts?

Thanks

I have a an interview scheduled for the role of  Full Stack Node JS, can anyone help me understand what all I should be prepared with to tackle this interview smoothly.

Is DSA a big part of this interview?
Will there be a coding round or just a technical analysis of my capabilities?

Thanks in Advance.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
