Sooner or later you’ll be that connecting passenger and you’ll be sooo grateful they held the flight for you. Pay it forward and bank the karma.
Personally I was fine with it- as i’d be so grateful if I was on the other end. Curious what everyone thinks though
If last flight of the night - classy move. If there were other options - get me home!
That’s great
Most airlines won’t do it so they improve their on time departure stats. In this case, dispatch likely allowed it for one of several reasons, including difficulty in reaccomodating the potential misconnects, tailwinds allowing time to be made up in flight, or a large group, especially if it’s something like a school group that can’t easily be split up.
While it was likely nice for those passengers and made the airline look “good” it was most likely a business decision by dispatchers.
Today you, tomorrow me. Pay it forward.
Common enough of last flight, multiple passengers affected, reasonable timeframe. I’m all for it
Lga?
I think I prefer sushi over pizza
About time Airlines began doing this. This is only acceptable if it’s a flight connection issue. Gate agents know and therefore can wait
I'm totally ok with that.
I missed my connection by 5 mins just last week because they didn’t hold... so ok with that if last flight out
Plus it's spring break for a lot of schools. They saved a lot of misery for a lot of families who wouldn't have an expense account to absorb the last minute hotel. Or worse yet, family night on a bench.
Power of conceierge key customer sometimes
AT 1 that’s the problem with the airlines. Worrying more about the once a year flyer than their bread and butter customers. They never hold for me and usually have the door close 10 minutes early
