For anyone that’s interviewed recently, how long did the process take from start to finish? I’ve been interviewing for one job for 2 months now. Wondering what others have experienced.

I was lucky. They needed somebody quick and I got the acceptance letter in just a few weeks. I have had jobs that took significantly longer. Has there been a lot of dead time where you're waiting for a response?

Initial phone call on a Tuesday, followed by 9 interviews (in person, phone, & zoom) over the next 2 weeks. Had an offer 3 hrs after my final interview.

like

5-6 weeks.
Initial phone call, 2 zoom meetings, 1 modeling portion, a final in person interview (2-3 hrs) - the offers then came shortly.

like

Same, everything is generally taking longer...

What role are you interviewing for? 2 months feels a bit long.

Offering advice to job seekers who go around recruiters and message hiring teams, execs, etc. You are putting the Recruiters job in danger. If a Recruiter declines you or doesn’t choose to reach out, it is because the hiring team declined you, or you don’t have the experience. You will most likely not be considered for future roles because of this. When I see people giving advice to reach outside the Recruiter, it’s bad advice. Very rare is this a good idea.

Should I disclose or hide the fact that I am on maternity leave? I have an interview with a big law firm in NY. I’m currently working for a law firm in Atlanta. I imagine I will be asked whether I have returned to the office or working remotely from NY. My husband and I have been living in New York since the pandemic to be near family. My current firm asked everyone to go back last week but since I am on leave I didn’t have to. I want to avoid lying without jeopardizing my chances.

I bought a house in the suburbs of Chicago at the top of the market. I ended up moving out of state in 2017 and short-selling. I am now interviewing for a VP Accounting role with the mortgage company that got shafted by the short sale. If I get the job offer, can they/will they see this on my credit report? Can they pull the offer due to this? Should I tell them before we advance further?

I just received a verbal offer as a program manager at vp level from a US BB in London. Unfortunately the number was a round down of my current pay. Should I accept the offer?
