So- we run Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO) for our clients display ads in a feed and corresponding google sheet via Google DoubleClick. My q is- does anyone know what systems out there allow for creating a template that will automatically pull a product image from say Target.com and automatically building the ad & copy without manually making 1000 ads via row for row in the google sheet? I know this is possible but curious if Sizmek or Flashtalking are more common in this type of creative development.

We have a 10-20-70 philosophy. 10% theory, 20% learning, 70% experience.
zero% benefit,.. unless you work for a company that requires it of their media buyers - then it's good to not get fired. but it definitely doesn't make you a better media buyer and having it on a resume doesn't really impact most hiring managers decisions (unless, as i mentioned earlier, its a company that requires it for all media buyers).
It’s a good 101 starting point, but hands-on experience is what will impact your career. I often make the analogy of learning a new language, you have to immerse yourself in the language before you become fluent. Same for digital marketing (this goes for all channels IMO).
Hands on will always always be better! But if you're a true beginner, it doesn't hurt to do the Meta certifications to give yourself a good primer!
Nothing beats hands on experience but if you are looking for an entry level job or a 1-2 it wouldn’t hurt and possibly stand out in the extremely competitive job market.
There are a couple of certifications that are relevant the media planning AND buying professional ones are the most helpful if you are going to be hands on keys and executing paid ad campaigns.
Obviously there’s a cost but the courses are free and the practice tests are free.
If you are hesitant to invest in paying for both certifications, then take the practice tests and make sure you do really well in them.

Hands on for sure but if you don’t have that then certifications can get your foot in the door
