I was told I will be getting a call from HR for negotiation in a day or two and then final offer letter will be rolled out. It has been 4 working days and I haven't been contacted yet. I’ve been at my clerkship for 5 years (4 with a different judge) and one with my current judge, and I heard horrible things about him before starting, but I assumed they were exaggerated. Turns out they’re all true, and I’ve had to start therapy to deal with him and the incredibly toxic environment. I’m trying to get out ASAP b/c he also has a history of firing clerks without cause or notice, but I think I’ll only be able to give two weeks notice if i get the job I’m interviewing for. Thoughts?

How would you approach an interview process where the company sounds exciting but you feel confident the role would not be a growth opportunity for your skill set? One of my friend got interviewed in Deloitte and she was asked to rethink her salary ask in the HR round. She reduced it to 1L less than initial ask. Now the status is in benchmarking approval. What does that mean ? Will they release the offer letter ?

I am having 5+ years of experience in automation testing, i m currently having 15.6 LPA, my manager has proposed my name for promotion and will be scheduling interview for it.

Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. The worrying/anxiety multiplies when I proceeded further in the interview stages. Now that I signed the offer and is pending background checks, my anxiety is off the roof as it itches closer to my starting date.

Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?
