Pick what your priorities are: fitness, work, social life and family. With such a hectic schedule, you have to deprioritise one category. I deprioritise social life and I’m very selective about the people and amt. of time I choose to spend partying/ drinking etc.
I workout first thing in the morning before others even wake up. Gives you the satisfaction of accomplishment early in the day and sets the momentum for productivity.
May sound cliche, but works for me!
Honestly like the person above said it all comes down to priorities and what you decide you want to put first. For me getting a workout in and getting 8 hours of sleep are not negotiable so those are the two things I make sure I do every day. Sometimes that means getting up early to workout and sometimes it means working out late but I always get a workout in.
I realized that you have to be specific in scheduling your time to maximize what you are able to accomplish each day. I created high-level goals that I aimed to get done that year, and then mini-goals that I do daily that will enable me to chilaway at them. With the mini-goals, I allotted times and was specific about what I wanted to do with the time. For example, 5:30 - 7:00 am (Wake up and run 7 miles), 7:30 - 8:15 (get ready, breakfast), 8:30 - 7:00 (work), … I added a lot more verbiage/things related to goals and I checked them off the list as I got them done. I found this way to be good because I could get what I need done and then leave the rest of the time slots for social time (which is much more relaxing since you know you did all that you could to get your goals complete)
