For folks looking for new roles (either actively or passively), where are you looking? What sites, apps, etc. (I'm interested in hearing about option *other* than recruiters.)

Not sure how successful it is for non entry level positions, but my law school maintained an online portal with postings. Lots of entry level positions and that’s what I was looking for, but I would see some posting looking for years of experience.

LinkedIn, Indeed and Dice Careers are the 3 job boards that I use. Outside of that I look at my competitors career site and see what they have open.

Seconding LinkedIn, also my law school maintains an alumni Facebook page where posts for firms seeking laterals occasionally pop up.

Everywhere and make sure you have an updated profile and resume posted! LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed, Zip Recruiter, work with recruiters, and also check professional organizations for your practice area. Association of Corporate Counsel’s website and, for me, I check American Health Law Association since I am in the health law space.

GoInhouse.com is also a good place to search.

Am I particularly uptight, or is writing meant to be done alone, without a partner talking to you? With past partners, we chat through script notes and then I go off to execute. Current partner likes to sit and chat as I write. To me, writing is crafting a conversation. So I can’t talk to you and simultaneously talk to this audience. Of course I can just say “I’m gonna go write.” But since we’re both CD level, I’m like…is this his first rodeo? Maybe other writers are different though.

Do any real estate lawyers out there know of/can direct me to a ROFO agreement to purchase commercial property? I’m working on one now (but using a ROFO to purchase equity interests as a basis) and would like to see what other people are doing. First interview at a biglaw firm. Just graduated and want to pursue transactional areas, no prior experience. I feel like I’m a risk of a hire in their eyes so any advice?

Working on a deal where buyer's side keeps on insisting on a POA to effectuate all actions of Seller under the agreement, including executing documents. I keep striking this and commenting that this is not standard. Has anyone dealt with this? I am okay with a limited POA based on the industry of the Seller, but not this general POA.

I have an asset purchase of a retail store transaction. Seller is keeping the second location. Seller is licensing the name from the buyer. The licensing agreement is supposed to contain provisions so that the seller cannot offer promotions or discounts that the buyer does not also offer (i.e., seller cannot undercut buyer's pricing). I know very little about antitrust. Can anyone give me some suggestions how to enforceably draft this agreement, or is this arrangement impossible?
