I am a M.Tech. in Biotechnology graduating in 2023.
Due to the current recession, facing a lot of problems in job hunting and placements.

I also have basic python skills, SQL in intermediary level, and I have studied about ITGC audits from a peer of mine. I know the basics regarding IT Audits like Program Changes, APD, Computer Changes, etc.

I have interned at Tata medical centre and have written 3 research paper, one of them is in AI.

I’m completely new to Google cloud but I’m from CS background. I know programming, SQL, networking concepts, operating systems concepts etc. How long will it take me to prepare and pass GCP solutions architect certification? What’s your recommendation for preparing?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

What do you guys think about apps like BetterHelp and Talkspace? I understand they might have real therapists working on their content, but a lot of the marketing I see is so vague and broad that it feels like a lie. Rising 2nd year here: been rethinking my choice as an M&A attorney. I've had a rough go of it over the first year-and-a-half of practice and am thinking about moving to a different practice area. I'd like to stay on the transactional side, but am not quite sure what areas I can leverage my corporate and M&A skills in. I was thinking T&E (i.e. business succession planning, etc.)

Curious as to how many deals at once is typical for a first year associate to take on (M&A, mostly private equity clients). Deal size is lower middle market and I’ve worked on deals ranging from $1-$110M. 2 deals at once is plenty for me, but it seems like my peers are able to take on more than that at once and still do fine. Maybe I’m just a slow learner/out of my league at the big law firm I’m at.
