I don't know how you find time to drink. When I was at McK my alcohol consumption was close to nil the entire time. Too many pages to churn on to be having a good time

Drinking alcohol is a choice every time you order. Consulting doesn't drive this. You can have one or none no matter what anyone else does. Ditto for working out. The key ( IMO) is your mind set. You need to flip it from the negative... I should, I need to.... to the positive I deserve, I want. It really is about priorities versus excuses.

BC....this was all about things you control and related to your health and wellbeing. No need to voice any of that to a manager. Interesting that your thoughts went there.
Similar to SC1, it starts with mindset. For me there are non-negotiables - over a 2-3 week period I need enough sleep (7hrs during the week, 8 hours at the weekend), enough exercise (3-4x 30min intense exercise per week), a healthy diet the vast majority of the time, and a couple of hours a day for me / my family & free weekends. If I cannot get that and still succeed at Bain then I am in the wrong job and need to go thrive elsewhere.
Invariably the pressures we feel under are majority coming from us. Every time I have set and sustained the above (not 100%, but I try hard to) I have actually outperformed the times I let them go because of work pressures.
Just reset in the weekend and don’t booze it up like crazy? Also get as much sleep as you can.
