4 months. I used my alumni network to get recommendations/referrals. Most of the interviews I had came as a result of networking.

A former colleague referred me. The whole process from submitting my application to offer took about a month.

I left my previous job with no offer at hand in January and spent 2 months thereafter to land my current role, no referral nor networking towards it.

I’m currently in the job search market and have two second round interviews lined up thankfully I’ve had the help of my network to help in the search. It’s definitely ALOT different now than it was several years ago and I definitely feel like having a referral into a company is extremely helpful in getting the initial meeting.
ETA use your LinkedIn network. Don’t hesitate to reach out to connections (acquaintances) you may know at the company you are applying for and ask them if they wouldn’t mind referring you for the position.
It's been 3 months of searching for a new position for me. I'm hopeful something will come along soon. Lots of recruiter contacts and screenings a several interviews, but nothing yet with more than 10 years experience under my belt.
I was just let go of my position yesterday! I was doing a temp assignment for this awesome recruiting agency I have been working for. The temp assignment was for a Tax software company, it ended sooner than I thought it was. They over hired and their product was getting too expensive for the customers.
I am now actively job searching for a customer facing role in the tech industry.

I have been working/talking with recruiters for roles regularly. Landed a great contract role and the process was less than a month (after 2 years of slow chatting folks).
Just found out that the company I’m at is no longer using my current contracting firm. So, I’m starting at square one.
