I just got an offer from Accenture Switzerland, Total Comp 170K with 140K base. I have 6YOE as IT consultant and 9YOE in total. I am just upset that they did not offer me a relocation package of 20k because the cost of living in Zurich for a family with 1 child is crazy! Should I insist for a sign on bonus before accepting the offer?

I applied with EY for a Senior Manager role I had my first stage interview with a senior manager, which I thought went well as I got the partner interview 2 weeks later, and said I'll be contact within 10 day HR. This did not happen so I chased up. Today I received feedback from HR stating that the senior manager, who would have been my peer, said I didn't have enough experience. But the partner who I would have been working under did like me.
Is this normal with EY recruitment
Just got a job at Deloitte M&A in Atlanta and am currently looking to buy a house. Would you advise I buy closer to Atlanta or the suburbs? I personally want to be in the suburbs but I hear the traffic situation is quite bad. Current consultants in Atlanta, how much time do you actually spend in the office vs remote vs client site? Would you advise I try and stay closer to the office?
Accenture - interviewing for Asset Management - Consultant. Coming from industry, made it onto ‘Skills Interview’ website makes it out to be an in-depth resume review. Any additional info on the process. Also, any tips moving forward in interview process, especially given industry - consulting transition. Thanks!
Hi all, I just got a job offer at PwC for a senior consultant position. The salary is 30% above my total comp right now, but I’m just worried about the amount of work I will have to put in compared to my amazing work life balance now. Does anyone have any experience moving from industry to consulting? I need some advice on what to do. I’m still early in my career (1.4yoe) so I feel like I shouldn’t care too much about wlb, but at the same time, I don’t want my mental health to suffer either.

I would say probably don’t do that. You were hired in as part of R&C - a ton of work is done to prepare for interns, let alone staff them on engagements. Asking to switch solutions now will be a bad look and likely won’t happen anyway. You will have a good experience in R&C.
I think you bring up a valid concern.
The problem is you don’t have any leverage as an intern that has yet to start.
Personally I would give R&C a shot this summer as an intern, network with as many folks as you can, and if you really don’t like it, ask to be placed in BPI for your full time offer.
To be honest most work is going to be boring, it’s not supposed to be exciting. I’m in RC and have been on vastly different projects, some better than others, but the one constant has been that the people have been so much fun to work with! Give it a shot and go in with an open mind
Relax
Seriously? What a great first impression for an intern.
Come in and kill it as an R&C intern. If you still don’t enjoy R&C, on your return offer state that you’ll only consider rejoining if you’re brought into the TC/BPI solution. Make sure you have a case on why you think you’ll fit those roles and not just “they sound cool”.
Definitely don’t do it before you start - very bad look. Risk and compliance is a great practice at protiviti - it is what the firm is best known for. Knock it out of the park (even if it is completely repetitive), and try to network with one person in each of the areas you’re interested in. Worst people say is no, and seeing that you’re an intern *most* people will take a call from you if you genuinely want to learn more about what they do. As you near the end of your internship if you did well, bring up the networking and the area you were interested to your line manager or HR and see if there is any opportunity to go into that.
I suggest you talk with your advisor. They should be able to explain the different solutions / type of work better than anyone here can in a few sentences.
You were likely aligned to risk and compliance because staffing thought that was the best fit based on your major and prior experience. If you’re serious about switching, you should be able to explain why you think you’re a better fit for another solution.
