I gave an interview in Accenture and the manager wants me to move to Hyderabad, but I'm comfortable with the Kolkata location. I've cleared two rounds and now the Hyd manager is telling me that if I move to Hyd otherwise they will not proceed with my application any further. Can anyone suggest to me what can be done here?

In my new role, the job hasn't been easy, and my work-life balance hasn't improved significantly. However, I'm now well-compensated, which is a substantial upgrade from my previous Big4 salary. Despite the demanding workload, I'm satisfied knowing that my hard work is recognized and rewarded, enabling me to afford the high cost of living in this area.
Can you advise what your title is and the range you get paid?
Indirect Tax Manager for a Fortune 500 company. I work about 10 hours a week, if busy week probably 30 hours. Pay was increased by 50%, insurance paid for and I also have equity. PTO is very good for industry, I have 25 days in addition to federal holidays but since workload isn’t that high, I manage my own schedule and take a day off when I want.
Indirect Tax Manager in industry , ~40% pay increase and during a busy week, I’ll work about 15hrs/ week including meetings.
TM1, yes I was in indirect tax as well in PA. 1st 2 years I was in the diversified staff group and did international tax, GCR, and QS. Don’t know which firm you’re currently with but in my experience, EY was generally been supportive of pivoting (if you’re a fairly new senior or manager), especially if you’ve support from partners in the sub-service line you want to transition into.
Irs no doubt
Hardest in terms of the WLB fund administration
Irs is easier work life balance
Fund administration- 3rd party administrators to funds think ss&c, alter domus etc

My technical accounting roles were well-paid and wlb was almost too good, i had downtime often.
Pretty much everything i worked on was a long term project and just had to get done before the audit. Nothing was really urgent, and i often took breaks in the day (but stayed at my desk so i was responsive). I just had to pace my year well. My team didnt want to bother setting me up in the GL when i offered to help or take more on at some point. My only negative was sometimes getting writers block when writing memos.
