What do you mean by “presentation?” If you mean putting your work in a deck to walkthrough, I don’t think so. But having to present your work, advocate for it, and sell it? I think it’ll depend on your position and industry. Some are more churn and learn. Mine I would say I spend 80% of the time convincing my teams and clients to buy into my work.
Fromm my experience In multiple industries I would say it tends to be heavy in presentation for buy in on your ideas and or for internal feedback. I feel like this is for almost any design position that deals with human interface design.

Everyday there are walkthroughs and demos, and more formal presentations to various stakeholders. I speak at 1-2 conferences each year. My job encourages opportunities to build our profiles as thought leaders.
